In addition to the analytics provided natively, Monetate integrates with third-party platforms, such as Google Analytics, to report experience information. Keep in mind that Monetate doesn't report data for Full-Page Test experiences to third-party platforms. Depending on your site structure, you may need to use JavaScript polling to ensure that Monetate correctly captures your site's data.
Follow these steps to set up an integration with Google Legacy Analytics.
- Click the settings icon in the top navigation bar and then select Integration.
- On the Third-Party Analytics tab, take one of the following actions:
- If the account doesn't have any third-party analytics custom reports, then click SELECT for Google Analytics.
- If the account already has a third-party analytics report, then click ADD REPORT and then, if necessary, select Google Analytics.
- If the account doesn't have any third-party analytics custom reports, then click SELECT for Google Analytics.
- Optionally, set Enable by default for all new experiences to YES if you want Monetate to push experience data for all new experiences to Google Analytics.
- Optionally, preview the code pushed to Google Analytics by clicking SHOW THE CODE BEING USED TO REPORT DATA.
- Click CREATE.
Monetate uses the Event Tracking method in Google Legacy Analytics to report experience information. If the implementation was successful, you see data for Monetate
populated within your Google Analytics account.
The following screenshot shows an example of Top Events based on the data that Monetate reports to Google Analytics for your account's experience.
In the Google Analytics interface, it is accessible by navigating to Behavior > Events > Top Events.
Enabling Google Analytics Reporting for Standard Experiences
You can control whether Monetate pushes data to Google Analytics for standard experiences. This option can be useful if you don't want to report particular experiences to that analytics platform.

- Click the additional options menu (...) on the Experience Editor page, and then click Third-Party Analytics.
- Toggle Google Analytics to NO to prevent Monetate from pushing the experience's data to Google Analytics, or select YES to enable this reporting.
- If you want to see a specific string in the third-party platform(s) for this specific experience, enter it into Report Label.
- Click SAVE to close the modal.
